These images were made with a Holga camera. It’s a very cheaply made plastic camera that comes from China with minimal settings and very few controls. It’s an incredibly imperfect camera that takes practice to use. But when you learn to dance with its imperfections they can become it’s strengths rather than it’s weaknesses. It’s quirks can include light leaks, ghosting of images, blurring, overlapping of image frames or a combination of these but each camera has it’s own signature. Mine has a Polaroid back making it a Holgaroid for instant image gratification…..yummy:^)~~~ I use a film type that leaves me with large square negatives that I can later enlarge or digitize…. Yes you read that right negatives from a Polaroid (Sorry Holga purists but we’re talkn about a toy camera!*)
These Holga images are all available as signed digital prints.
*(Sorry again to the Holga purists but this is a great way for people to get good art they enjoy living with)
